The Methodist Chapel

The Methodist Chapel is situated in the centre of Thornton Le Dale near to the green, on Maltongate (opposite the old Post Office - Post Code: YO18 7RJ). The Chapel was built in 1909 and has seating for 180 people, there is also an adjoining hall at the rear of the Chapel. The hall is a able to accommodate large numbers of people for functions, concerts, groups/clubs, funerals etc. and has a well equipped kitchen.

The Chapel is very active and is also used by local groups, in addition to worship. Some of our events are: 

• Sunday services – every week  at 10.30am

• ‘Coffee Break’ – every Tuesday morning from 10 to 11.30am – villagers and visitors meet for friendship and a chat.

• External groups regularly meet in the Chapel hall
